Biotium GloMelt™ Thermal Shift Protein Stability Kit
GloMelt™ dye undergoes fluorescence enhancement upon binding to hydrophobic regions of denatured proteins. Therefore the dye can be used to detect protein unfolding or measure thermal stability by performing a thermal shift assay, also called Protein Thermal Shift™, differential scanning fluorimetry, or Thermofluor assay. GloMelt™ dye has significant advantages over other environmentally sensitive dyes, such as SYPRO Orange and PROTEOSTAT TS dye. GloMelt™ dye generates a strong signal because it is optimized for detection in the SYBR Green channel of qPCR instruments, and therefore low reaction volumes and low protein concentrations can be used. GloMelt™ dye is compatible with high concentrations of protein stabilizers (such as glycerol and sorbitol), and also protein destabilizers. GloMelt™ dye performs very well in high detergent concentrations, unlike SYPRO Orange. This kit contains no ROX reference dye and has sufficient reagent for 2000 assays.
Biotium Mix-n-Stain™ CF488A Small Ligand Labeling Kit
Mix-n-Stain™ Small Ligand Labeling Kits are designed for rapid labeling of low molecular weight (MW 150 -5000) ligands without a purification step. Suitable ligands or substrates include SNAP-tag, CLIP-tag™ and HaloTag ligand derivatives that have an aliphatic amine. CF dyes are Biotium's line of next-generation fluorescent dyes with advantages in brightness, photostability, and conjugate specificity compared to other fluorescent dyes. Green fluorescent CF488A dye has excitation/emission at 490/515 nm. It is suitable for labeling ligands for cell surface staining.
Biotium Tyramide Amplification Kit with HRP Goat Anti-Rabbit and CF568 Tyramide
Tyramide amplification, sometimes called Catalyzed Reporter Deposition (CARD), is an enzyme-mediated detection method that uses the catalytic activity of horseradish peroxidase (HRP) to generate high density labeling of a target protein or nucleic acid sequence in situ. The tyramide amplification method has been reported to increase the sensitivity by up to 100-fold compared to the conventional avidin-biotinylated complex procedure. The kit contains HRP goat anti-rabbit CF568 dye tyramide. The dye has an excitation/emission of 562/583 nm. The kit contains sufficient reagent for 50-150 slides.

The procedure for labeling of DNA probes with a polynucleotide "tail" containing hapten-labeled nucleotides was developed by Enzo. In such terminal labeling reactions, terminal transferase catalyzes the addition of nucleotides to any 3'-OH terminus in a template independent manner. This rapid and convenient nonradioactive labeling procedure is free of any sequence bias that is normally observed in random priming or nick translation reactions. Terminal labeling is an ideal procedure for the labeling of oligonucleotides. An oligonucleotide can be synthesized using standard, commercially available reagents and labeled after synthesis in a simple and reproducible enzyme reaction. The BIO-PROBE 3'-Oligonucleotide Labeling System provides maximum flexibility for labeling oligonucleotides approximately 15 to 100 nucleotides in length. A standard reaction will label up to 100 picomoles (1µg of a 30-mer oligonucleotide sequence).

The c-Myc protein is a transcription factor, which is encoded by the c-Myc gene on human chromosome 8q24. c-Myc is commonly activated in a variety of tumor cells and plays an important role in cellular proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis and cell cycle progression. The phosphorylation of c-Myc has been investigated and previous studies have suggested a functional association between phosphorylation at Thr58/Ser62 by glycogen synthase kinase 3, cyclin dependent kinase, ERK2 and C-Jun N terminal Kinase (JNK) in cell proliferation and cell cycle regulation. Cytokeratin 17 (CK17) is normally expressed in the basal cells of complex epithelia but not in stratified or simple epithelia. Antibody to CK17 is an excellent tool to distinguish myoepithelial cells from luminal epithelium of various glands such as mammary, sweat and salivary. CK17 is expressed in epithelial cells of various origins, such as bronchial epithelial cells and skin appendages. It may be considered asepithelial stem cellmarker because CK17 Ab marks basal cell differentiation. CK17 is expressed in SCLC much higher than in LADC. Eighty-five percent of the triple negative breast carcinomas immunoreact with basal cytokeratins including anti-CK17. Also important is that cases of triple negative breast carcinoma with expression of CK17 show an aggressive clinical course. The histologic differentiation of ampullary cancer, intestinal vs. pancreatobiliary, is very important for treatment. Usually anti-CK17 and anti-MUC1 immunoreactivity represents pancreatobiliary subtype
